Overview

Mittai Labs LLP ("Mittai Labs", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with this website, mittailabs.com (the "Site"). It is written to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Scope

This policy applies only to this Site, which is an informational website about our company. It does not cover our products, which are governed by their own separate privacy policies, or any third-party websites we link to.

Who we are

Mittai Labs LLP is a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India (LLPIN ACW-6965), with its registered office at 7/389, Nandanam, Athirampuzha, Kottayam, Kerala 686562, India. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, we are the Data Fiduciary, and you are the Data Principal, for personal data processed through this Site.

Information we collect

This Site has no contact forms, accounts, advertising, or tracking cookies. In normal use we collect very little:

  • Information you send us. If you email us using a link on this Site (for example, [email protected]), we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
  • Basic server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, to serve the Site and keep it secure. We do not use this to identify you.
  • Aggregate analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless service that gives us aggregate statistics such as page views and referrers. It does not set cookies, does not track you across sites, and is not used to identify you.
  • A theme preference. Your light/dark choice is stored locally in your own browser. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

How we use your information

We use the limited information above only to:

  • respond to your enquiries and correspond with you;
  • operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
  • understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used; and
  • comply with applicable law and enforce our terms.

Consent and legal basis

Where the DPDP Act requires consent, sending us a message constitutes your consent for us to reply and process your enquiry. We otherwise process data only for the legitimate uses described above or as permitted by law. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site and our email (such as our hosting and email providers), and only to the extent needed for them to perform those services under appropriate confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers may process data on servers located outside India. Where that happens, we rely on the transfer mechanisms permitted under the DPDP Act and take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
  • request correction, completion, or erasure of your personal data;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
  • withdraw any consent you have given; and
  • raise a grievance with us (see "Contact and grievances" below).

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This Site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention and disposal

We keep email correspondence only for as long as needed to address your enquiry and to meet legal or record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this Site. For usage statistics we rely on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and privacy-first: it measures aggregate traffic without setting cookies or tracking you across sites. The only data stored in your browser is your theme (light/dark) preference, which is functional, stays on your device, and is not shared with us or anyone else.

Children

This Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect the personal data of children.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and any changes take effect when posted here.
